In each stage of life people encounter different experiences. Each stage is distinctly different from the stage before. The change from adolescence to teenage years may be the most drastic change of all. As children grow older and become teenagers, they are granted more responsibilities, respect, and freedom.

Parents begin to see their children for the first time as young adults. These young adults or teenagers are granted responsibility. They are asked to care for themselves and others around them. They are expected to do chores or to get a job. They must do well in school and maybe even help pay bills. Although many teenagers may not like these responsibilities, they gain self-respect and respect from others.

As respectable and responsible young adults, teens are granted much respect from their parents. Parents will allow their children to do things they have never done before. They may be given a later curfew, a license, or even a car. Since the parents are beginning to respect teenagers, teenagers begin to respect their parents. Teens begin to comprehend everything that their parents have done for them. Parents pay bills, carpool, cook, clean, and care for their children in every way possible. This mutual respect can bring teens and parents much closer together.

Although teens and parents may be closer together, teens are given more freedom from their parents. Parents begin to respect their children’s independence. Parents may allow dating, a license, a car, etc. The government also grants teenagers more independence than ever before. At the age of sixteen a teenager is allowed to get a driver’s license with a parent’s permission. The government also allows teenagers to vote at the age of eighteen. A closer relationship with parents usually leads to more freedom in the end.

Although teenagers are not granted all of the privileges of an adult, they are granted more than that of an adolescent. Responsibility, respect, and freedom are three of the main differences between adolescence and teenagers. The three privileges granted to teenagers are all interrelated. One privilege cannot come with out the other two privileges. The transition from adolescence to a teenager is possibly the biggest change a human can make in life.

Letter Writting

Homework

Dear Graham

Hello, I’m finally able to write to you as I promised. We arrived to Prague two days ago and i wait ‘till today to write this letter for you because i really wanted to have something to write about. We arrived to the most beautiful and charming city in Europe. I cant hardly wait to show you all the pictures i have taken of the city. I’ll try to resume this two days in one or two parographs so that you wont get bored at all reading my letter.

livepaperhelp.com

We arrived saturday morning at 7 am, he went to our hotel, leave our stuff and went to the city castle. The castle is a piece of art, i can’t describe its beauty. The architecture is just amazing and it’s huge castle. We walked around the castle and its sorroundings like the alquemist’s street, it’s known that the king had a special street in his castle just for alquimists, I assume he really wanted to discover how to make gold. Then we went to the Cathedral, i think it was one of the most peaceful moments i have ever had. The cathedral has a Gothic architecture wich gives a special environment once you’re inside, it’s like being in an other time completely out of the ordinary. After that we went for a nice walk beside the Moldav river, then at pm we went for a nice walk in the city center and we eat Italian Food.

On Sunday we woke up really late, about...11am. He visited Kafka’s house and we walked around the jewish neighborhod. There we went to the old jewish cementery...it was really creepy though...i just don’t like cementeries. We also went to a very old synagogue (the Rabi Maharal’s synagogue) and when we walked out of the synagogue we saw a clock with leters, the interesting part of this clock is that the letters are in hebrew and that the clock goes to the other way. We returned to the hotel because we were very tired and we just sleep for hours. Well, i’mnow awake writting to you but my friend is still sleeping, she’s even snoring like a lion. Well....we’re planning to visit Terezin...it was a ghetto in the II world war and we also want to visit some museums and walk more around the city as well.

I think i’ll have an unforgetable trip with my friend. Now i’m thinking about my return and i just want to stay here in this city but everything has an end and thats the ugly part of a trip, it always ends.

Drugs Assignment

Research and report on the following drugs;

Alcohol

1) Alcohol, specifically ethyl alcohol (ethanol), is produced by fermenting the starch or sugar in various fruits and grains. Alcoholic beverages produced by fermentation and distillation include beer (usually about 5% alcohol), wine (usually 1 to 15% alcohol), and hard liquor(which is about 45% alcohol).

live paper help

) Immediate Effects - The effects of alcohol may appear within 10 minutes after consumption and peak at approximately 40 to 60 minutes. Alcohol remains in the bloodstream until it is broken down by the liver. If an individual consumes alcohol at a faster rate than it can be broken down by the liver, the blood alcohol concentration level rises. When ingesting the same amount of alcohol as a man, a woman will have a higher blood alcohol concentration because of gender-related physiological differences.

Long Term Effects - As a depressant, alcohol depresses the breathing rate, heart rate, and the control mechanisms in the brain. The effects of such depression may include

· impaired ability to perform complex tasks (such as driving)

· reduction of inhibitions which may lead to embarrassing behavior

· reduction in anxiety

· decreased attention span

· impaired short-term memory

· impaired motor coordination

· prolonged reaction time

· less rapid thought processing

) Driving experts and medical researchers have tested the effects of alcohol on driving and have found that drinking at any level

· reduced the ability to judge distances, speeds, and turns

· reduces the ability to judge accurately ones own capabilities and limitations

· increases the tendency to take risks

· slows reflexes

· adds to forgetfulness of taking precautions such as using signals when turning

· reduces the ability to concentrate

Cannabis -

1) Cannabis is a leafy plant which grows wild in many of the tropic and temperate areas of the world. It is cultivated both indoors and out for the production of its flowering tops. The most commonly used form of cannabis are the leaves and flowering tops (buds) which may be either smoked or eaten; It also comes in a more concentrated resinous form called hashish, and as a sticky black liquid called hash oil. There are three distinct species of cannabis Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis, though there is some argument as to whether these should be considered varieties rather than species.

) Effects - Duration is affected by dose, tolerance, and individual reaction. Note that most cannabis smokers smoke multiple times in single session which extends the duration.

The effects of smoking Cannabis are usually lighter than those of many other recreational psychoactive substances. People are generally capable of carrying out normal actions and activities while high.

mood lift relaxation, stress reduction creative, philosophical or deep thinking ideas flow more easily

pain relief (headaches, cramps) general change in consciousness (as with many psychoactives) increased appetite, snacky-ness slowness (slow driving, talking) tiredness, nausea, especially in combination with alcohol, some pharmaceuticals, or other psychoactives coughing, asthma, upper respiratory problems difficulty with short term memory during effects and during periods of frequent use.

)Effect on Drivers - Though driving under the influence of any controlled substance is a matter of concern, there is no evidence that cannabis use alone is a significant cause of motor vehicle accidents. Field studies have demonstrated that cannabis is one of the most prevalent drugs discovered in fluid samples taken from drivers. However, assessment of the causal role of cannabis in accident occurrence is complicated by the fact that alcohol is also present in the majority of samples.

Valium (Diazepam)

1) Diazepam is an antianxiety agent ( benzodiazepines. ) Used primarily for short-term relief of mild to moderate anxiety. It may also be used to treat symptoms of acute alcohol withdrawals, to help control epilepsy, or to relieve muscle spasms.

) Diazepam is used for the short-term relief of symptoms related to anxiety disorders. Diazepam is also used for the treatment of agitation, tremors, delirium, seizures, and hallucinations as a result of alcohol withdrawal. Diazepam is also used for relief of muscle spasms in certain neurological diseases. Diazepam is used to abort active seizures and can be combined with other drugs in treating severe recurrent seizures.

) A study of Valiums effects on driving linked it to problems in speed control and concentration, even at normal doses. In fact, dose for dose, Valium proved as dangerous on the road as alcohol.

10 mg of Valium can cause greater driving impairment than a blood alcohol concentration of 0.1 (at or above the legal limit in all states).

Heroin

1) Heroin is processed from morphine, a naturally occurring substance extracted from the seedpod of the Asian poppy plant. Heroin usually appears as a white or brown powder. Street names for heroin include smack, H, skag, and junk. Other names may refer to types of heroin produced in a specific geographical area, such as Mexican black tar.

) effects - The short-term effects of heroin abuse appear soon after a single dose and disappear in a few hours. After an injection of heroin, the user reports feeling a surge of euphoria (rush) accompanied by a warm flushing of the skin, a dry mouth, and heavy extremities. Following this initial euphoria, the user goes on the nod, an alternately wakeful and drowsy state. Mental functioning becomes clouded due to the depression of the central nervous system. Long-term effects of heroin appear after repeated use for some period of time. Chronic users may develop collapsed veins, infection of the heart lining and valves, abscesses, cellulitis, and liver disease. Pulmonary complications, including various types of pneumonia, may result from the poor health condition of the abuser, as well as from heroins depressing effects on respiration.

) The effects on the driver

· slows the drivers reaction time

· distorts drivers perceptions of distance and speed

· greatly reduces ability to concentrate

· decreases ability to coordinate appropriate reaction when driving

· greatly increases the risk of having a crash.

Cocaine (crack)

1) Crack is the street name given to cocaine that has been processed from cocaine hydrochloride to a free base for smoking. Rather than requiring the more volatile method of processing cocaine using ether, crack cocaine is processed with ammonia or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water and heated to remove the hydrochloride, thus producing a form of cocaine that can be smoked. The term crack refers to the crackling sound heard when the mixture is smoked (heated), presumably from the sodium bicarbonate.

) . The drug induces a sense of exhilaration in the user primarily by blocking the re-uptake of the neurotransmitter in the brain. The short-term effects of cocaine will be noticed right away which in some cases of use can cause serious bodily damage and in some cases lead to death. Cocaine-related deaths are often a result of cardiac arrest or seizures followed by respiratory arrest. Increased energy, decreased appetite, and increased heart rate and blood pressure are some short-term effects that will be noticed by most first time cocaine users.

Short-term Cocaine Effects

Increased temperature

Dilated pupils

Constricted vessels

Increased blood pressure

Mental alertness

Increased energy

Decreased appetite

Increased heart rate

Long-term cocaine effects come into play as cocaine abuse continues and tolerance builds. Cocaine is a highly addicting drug, which can lead to enormous medical complications. Some of these complications are as follows heart disease, which can lead to heart attacks, respiratory failure, strokes, seizures, and gastrointestinal various complications. Some physical symptoms are as follows convulsions, nausea, blurred vision, chest pain, fever, muscle spasms, and coma.

Some other long-term effects are lying to others about the use of cocaine, lying to oneself about becoming addicted, stealing to support the sometimes very expensive cocaine habit, and absenteeism at work.

Long-term Cocaine Effects

Addiction

Paranoia

Irritability

Restlessness

Auditory Hallucinations

Mood Disturbances

) The changes in a persons perception, mood, and thinking during cocaine intoxication are particularly relevant to driving skills. Cocaine may cause a higher sensitivity to light, halos around bright objects, and difficulty focusing. Many users say that cocaine actually improves their driving ability, which is not surprising because the drug induces euphoria and feelings of increased mental and physical abilities.

LSD

1) LSD is manufactured from lysergic acid, which is found in ergot, a fungus that grows on rye and other grains. LSD, commonly referred to as acid, is sold on the street in tablets, capsules, and, occasionally, liquid form. It is odorless, colorless, and has a slightly bitter taste and is usually taken by mouth.

) The effects of LSD are unpredictable. They depend on the amount taken; the users personality, mood, and expectations; and the surroundings in which the drug is used. Usually, the user feels the first effects of the drug 0 to 0 minutes after taking it. The physical effects include dilated pupils, higher body temperature, increased heart rate and blood pressure, sweating, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, dry mouth, and tremors. Sensations and feelings change much more dramatically than the physical signs. The user may feel several different emotions at once or swing rapidly from one emotion to another. If taken in a large enough dose, the drug produces delusions and visual hallucinations. The users sense of time and self changes. Sensations may seem to cross over, giving the user the feeling of hearing colors and seeing sounds. These changes can be frightening and can cause panic.

)

Amphetamines (speed)

1) Amphetamines belong to a group of drugs called psychostimulants, commonly known as speed, that stimulate the central nervous system. They speed up the messages going to and from the brain to the body.

Most amphetamines are produced in backyard laboratories and sold illegally. People who buy amphetamines illegally are often buying the drugs mixed with other substances that can have unpleasant or harmful effects.

) effects - Soon after taking amphetamines, the following effects may be experienced

· Speeding up of bodily functions Amphetamines speed up the bodys activity. Heart rate, breathing and blood pressure increase. A dry mouth, increased sweating, enlargement of the eyes pupils and headaches may occur.

· More energy and alertness Users can feel energetic and full of confidence, with a heightened sense of wellbeing. Other effects include feeling wide awake and alert, becoming talkative, restless, excited, and having difficulty sleeping. Panic attacks may also be experienced.

Regular repeated use of amphetamines may result in chronic sleeping problems, anxiety and tension, high blood pressure and a rapid and irregular heartbeat. Other possible effects include

· Malnutrition Amphetamines reduce appetite, resulting in people being less likely to eat properly.

· Psychosis Frequent heavy use can cause amphetamine psychosis. Symptoms may include paranoia as well as delusions, hallucinations and bizarre behaviour. These symptoms usually disappear a few days after the person stops using amphetamines.

) It is even unsafe to drive after using amphetamines, as once the amphetamines have worn off the user may feel tired. Amphetamines can also increase confidence, making drivers more likely to take dangerous risks.

Being a woman myself it is only human of me to want to talk about why women generally talk so much. At first i thought perhaps it was because there are so many important things to talk about and then i realised it was purely because there are so many non important things to talk about.

I was sitting in the car the other day actually talking to my mother about why women talk so much and she came up with a lot of little non interesting facts and of course this led to at least fifty stories which taught at least one hundred important lessons. For example the reason that women talk to much, according to my mother, is because women need to know the on goings which leads to a woman’s role in society, which leads to mum and dad, which leads to what dad was wearing this morning which leads to what he wears every morning, which leads to Ronald our neighbour who dresses better but THAT leads onto Ronald’s wife who is a nightmare….. as you can imagine the list is endless.

I, as a woman started this speech to tell you why women talk so much but I have realised that… well… there just isn’t enough time for me, as a woman, to explain all the little things that make the bigger things that in a long and twisted tale, explain why Ronald’s wife is a nightmare, why Ronald dresses better than dad, why dad was wearing what he was, why mum married dad, what role mum has in society, why mum likes being a woman, why being a woman in society has its rights, why those rights include knowing the going ons, which include why women talk so much

natalie rocks ur world ;)

ANIMAL FARM

The film of Animal Farm is a little different than the fairy-story or fable written by George Orwell. The movie has more of a “Hollywood” effect in it where the viewer can almost predict what happens next. The book has more suspense in it. The movie makes the characters’ appearances a little diverse than the book and the way some of them look in the movie foreshadow or already give away what the role of that person is in the movie. Some of the events in the movie changes from what the book does. The dialogue in the movie is also not corresponding to the book. The relation of this film to the book is a not significantly alike.

The way certain characters and objects look in the film shows what the importance of them being in the film already is at first glance. An example of this is the appearance of Mr. Jones. He has an unshaven face of hair that gives him a dark kind of aspect. With this look the viewer can tell he is going to be one of the “bad guys” in the film. Another example would be the way Snowball and Napoleon appear. Napoleon has a dark colored body of black and brown while Snowball is as white as snow. This indicates that Snowball is pure and innocent in the movie and Napoleon has sort of a dark secret he is hiding. The book does not foreshadow these things like the movie does. This shows one kind of relation of the book to the film.

Several of the events in the movie are changed in association with the book. The way some of the story goes in the movie is made different then from what the book says just to add more “entertainment”. One way to verify this is when Old Major dies. He dies while singing “Beasts of England” at the meeting in the barn in the beginning of the movie where in the book he dies a few days later then that. When Snowball is chased off of the farm by Napoleon’s guard dogs, he is killed in the movie, while in the book he just runs off and disappears. Some of events in the film were even made up. One example of this would be when the chickens throw their eggs at the pigs because they do not want to give them up to be traded. The whole ending of this story is drastically changed too. The film shows that the animals revolt against the pigs and kill them while in the book the animals just cannot tell the difference between the pigs or the humans. These changes make another relation of the film to the book.

live paper help

The way the animals talk in the book appears to be slightly digressing to the way they talk in the movie version of this story. Not really the way they talk, but when they talk also. The movie has the animals not talking that much throughout the story and they talk in funny sounds. The book has the animals talking constantly and in words towards each other and humans. Sometimes in the movie the viewer cannot really make out what is happening because of the way the animals talk. If the viewer has not read the book then he or she will probably have a difficult time trying to make out what the animals are saying. This is another way of showing how the relationship between the book and the film is not really similar to each other.

The book version of Animal Farm and the film version of it are not really alike as the relationship with each other. The movie foreshadows some of the things that are going to happen with the way certain things appear, the events are altered around a little, and the dialogue is different in each version. The makers of the film were trying to get more of what Americans today want in movies, like with happy endings and everything. The book makes the reader keep wanting to read on because the author tries not to reveal to much about the story at one time. The book is much better then the film in many cases. The relationship between the two are definitely not alike.

Types of People

If you order your custom term paper from our custom writing service you will receive a perfectly written assignment on Types of People. Often in my life, I, as you, have crossed paths with all types of people. Have you ever wondered or pondered the thought of people? Do you, or have you ever remembered a person that you can recollect, and you had a certain interest with this person? And with this person, have you ever wondered why you two clicked when you met? This was because both of you related in certain levels.

There are three types of people in this world. This means that there are three forms everyone is constructed in identity. You must devote true consideration to these three forms of people. For the information about to be disclosed to you, if applied correctly, could assist you in getting inside the person, and guiding them mentally. You must always remember, people will let you do this, if they feel a common interest, that you might display with them, or what is better known as rapport. Interviewing is an Art. Not many people can do this, and he/she has to continue to practice their skills. However, some people are naturally gifted in speaking and can communicate and socialize with all levels and/or echelons in life. For me, I had to learn this through studying and constantly applying my communication skills with practice. Discussing how to apply yourself through “Zonning”, or using a common term as a “Zone Out”, will be discussed later.

Firstly, there are your people, who see things. These people are often identified by using the basic form of the English language. They frequently express themselves by addressing such things as, do you see what I am talking about, do you see where I am coming from, do you get the picture? These people for the most part are you COE’s, in Art’s, work in Architecture, and things of that nature. They are often intelligent individuals. These people are known as your Visualist. Think about it, how often do you hear people address the weather, as in there is no Sun out today.

These people are often identified in your society as those commonly denoted as your “in crowd”, your most popular people/snobby people. If a person is predominant in this construction, be aware, in this area this person can be overly ambitious. These people frequently address their desires using the word ambition. Ambition is an excellent quality as long as it is a healthy one. These can also be your people, who are artists.

live paper help

The second form of construction are your people, who hear stuff (St). These people are always talking. They never seem to know when to shut up or in a nicer form, be quite. They often express themselves using the English language by saying things such as, do you hear where I am coming from, do you hear what I am saying (this one really annoys me to know end, I just want to scream when they do this), and a voice in my head tells me, or I hear little voices? They rarely love loud music and would prefer listening to chimes or a waterfall, something pleasant to their ears. AND MY FAVORITE, they enjoy using the maximum amount and are paramount in using their number two organ, their diaphragm. Watch them, they always inhale prior to speaking. The first favorite organ to them is their ability to speak, and hear themselves. These people are often known as your Philosophers, your comedians, and some musicians. I know, my best friend is this type of person and to spend more than 0 minutes with him, I have to get intoxicated. It is the only way I can deal with him. Poor Jerry, if he knew I related to him is this fashion, he would probably be disturbed. But as long as you never tell him, then I have nothing to worry about J. These people are identified and known as your Auditory people.

Watch them, when finished talking, the look up, what there are doing is recollecting what they just related, and in their head, they think it was a good accomplishment, and admire themselves for it; this st makes me sick, lol. Additionally, these people are always trying to make you change your mind to their opinion and often offer much support to assist you in this process.

These people are often your schizophrenics. Schizophrenics are not always bad, they do not always have negative intentions. Think of it like this, when you and I get sick, what do we do, we simply go the doctor, who prescribes medication or antibiotics for us. We do what, we take the medication until when, such time we start feeling better and then we do what, stop taking it. Well, Schizophrenics are the same way, they take their medication and when they start feeling better, they stop taking it.

The third is my favorite. Those are your people, who feel st. These for the most part are your musicians, your carpenters, your doctors, your mechanics, and things related to this. Be careful now, these people are often your people, who commit suicide. I will explain why later. These people get a sense of feeling from accomplishing something. Think about it, watch them, when they have completed a task, they do what, sit back and stare and admire it. These people sometimes take little recognition for their work, as the internal emotional feeling of self-gratification is enough for them. These people address the English language with remarks such as that related to feelings. These people are known as your Kinesthetic people.

Now, everyone for the most part is constructed in some form or fashion of all three types. Most people are primary in one area and closely related to a second. For instance, most mothers are your Kinesthetic followed by a close construction of a Visualist.

Now, a key point here is this, have you ever seen a mother, that just did not give a shit about her child. This is primarily attributed to her construction. She is probably predominant in construction with that of a Visualist. Meaning, she has very little construction is the Kinesthetic area. Meaning, the only feeling she has is for herself and how she sees herself, and how people see her. Make sense to you.

Now, your people, who are most likely to commit suicide. These are your people, who are predominant in Kinesthetic construction. Okay, let me try and articulate this in words. Have you ever seen someone, who no matter how hard you or someone else tried to talk to them, they never got what you said, never listened to you? Well, this is because you have to relate to them through feeling. See, these people are not able to SEE there way out or HEAR there way out of a situation. They are just not capable.

I know, my oldest son, Eric, who is seven is this way. I have to watch him closely. I am working with him, and it takes time. I am constantly participating in art with him. He loves to draw. That way, later in life when life starts hammering his ass, he will be able to relate through SEEING a way out of a situation.

Now is this starting to make sense to you? And no, I am not crazy. I am a certified hostage negotiator, been to the top three interviewing schools in the world, and I am an Advanced Child Abuse Investigator, both sexual and physical, counterdrug certified (same as DEA), protective services (same as US Secret Service), among a lot of other stuff. And if you spent eight years around criminals, then you would know this.

I can figure people out within the first five minutes of speaking with them, just by asking them those 17 questions stored in my head. What do you see when you look at a person, I think of the aforementioned information and start analyzing them. I love the art of studying people. And will teach you the Art of Deception (the book I am writing).

Sorry for the basic language, trying to make you understand, no need to be formal as I am not speaking to a crowd of 45-00 people as I have frequently addressed.

Now, if you happen to be visited by a person that is constructed of all three types, those are your people, that for the most part, can do things easily and just pick stuff up the first time they do anything. These are very versatile people.

Zooning, and Zone Out,

Means to become oblivious to ones surroundings. You must apply yourself in this mode and focus on the situation at hand.
